First, by limiting the number of commodities we sell, we are able to thoroughly know quality, price, and demand out of all shipping districts. This gives us the ability to advise on future ads and confidently give our customers prices or promotions they can count on.
Relationships, with both customers and shippers, are extremely important to us. We feel success is based on satisfying the needs of both. Our customer base uses the full range of quality, from premium to commercially graded and everything in between. In fact, that broad customer spectrum means that many times we can buy all the produce a grower might need to sell. Because we can provide such consistent sales for our shippers, we often have uncommon sources of supply in tight and rising markets.
Since information is the corner stone to smart buying, we spend an incredible amount of time and energy monitoring market trends, projecting future availability and identifying the quality each shipper is packing, relative to the other labels available. We share this information with our customers so they fully understand their options.
